April 9-13

Honors students - the MESPOW for this week is #15. The optional assignment for periods 1-4-7 is 1-20 page 243. For periods 3-6 it is 1-11 pages 252-253 (due on the last day of the month).

Monday
Students will watch a video called "Himalayan Megaquake".

Tuesday
Students will finish the video and then do some epicenter problems. If you were gone, do the "Virtual Earthquake Activity" HERE, print out your answer sheet (or write your answers on your own sheet of paper) and hand it in .

Wednesday
Benson will go over several aspects of earthquakes. If you were gone, watch this video. Also watch this one.

Thursday
Students will take notes on a handout as Benson explains various earthquake hazards. If you were gone, watch this Tsunami Animation and this Tsunami Demonstration (Oregon State Lab).

Friday
Students will take notes as they learn about Montana Earthquakes. If you were gone, get a copy of the handout, copy the notes, and carefully read each of the links below that have an asterisk (*).
